In the beginning there were only two badly worn boys, John and Bruno. We decided to play guitars in the days before time began (when we were less worn), learnt to play, formed various bands, split up, fought, didn't speak for nearly twenty years, and then made friends again. The chain reaction that ultimately mutated into BWB began over a beer during the Christmas holiday of 2002. It seemed like a good idea at the time. It probably was a good idea, in fact, because when we were hoodwinked into supporting local punk rockers STAIN in February 2003,we actually went down rather well...

Tim joined during the summer of 2003, bringing a further depth to the BWB experience in the shape of BASS. Long time band collaborator with John, he fitted in straight away, and what had started as a few beers and a laugh in The Tramway suddenly became a monster with three heads, six eyes, thirty fingers, but only one hat...

A successful second gig in August 2003 at The Triangle Tavern in Lowestoft (with all three of us this time, playing two full sets) confirmed that it really had been a good idea after all. So Badly Worn Boys stamp their existence on the world, emerging, dazed and confused, from their embryonic state and falling gracelessly into the beer and smoke of the pub...

Every story has a beginning, and Badly Worn Boys have thus arrived at theirs...

(What utter bollocks)

John,

22nd September 2003
