Perry White's Prodigal Son is in town. Jimmy Olsen is jealous, and investigates his rival.

Lois and Clark are spotted canoodling by a reporter. Unfortunately Clark is dressed as Superman, and the reporter is a rival from a Tabloid. Soon, the Adultery is front-page news!
Superman refuses to deny the rumours, because technically he would be lying! Foreign Peace Envoys refuse to trust a man who might be sleeping with his friend's wife. The fact that Clark Kent doesn't seem to object in a purely private matter is ignored by all.
The Tabloid's owner is a murderous egomaniac who wants to become respectable and win an International Peace Award. With Superman smeared, the egomaniac offers his services as mediator in an international Peace negotiation. The villain's plan is laughably OTT, and the ending is a complete cop-out.

Meet John Doe (1)
Tempus escapes from the Metropolis loonybin, and from custody of a TimeCop. He sets himself up as Presidential Candidate John Doe - lucky, since Metropolis seems to be Capital of the USA instead of Washington DC.
Tempus is an irritating villain, but his plan is oddly familiar. He uses a satellite network to broadcast a brainwashing signal to telephones ... An idea stolen by The Master

This would have made more sense when the character was still played by Michael Landes, who was sometimes mistaken for Clark Kent's younger brother. And how come the computer ignored Clark Kent as a suspect?
Billionaire Dwight Schultz [ Babylon 5 ] wants to create world peace by putting an SDI-style superweapon in satellite. When he can't get NASA co-operation, he decides to blackmail Superman into helping.
Lois and Clark aren't getting any private time. 8 days without sex? Well, they went without it for 3 years before they got married and the Curse was lifted!

The Villains are trying to rebuild LexCorp. They also want to obtain Lex Luthor's greatest prize: a tape which tells who Superman's secret identity is!

A small-time crook [Tim Thomerson - Trancers ] is on the run from a big-time Gangster. Yes, Superman STILL hasn't ended Organised Crime in Metropolis.
Thomerson's plan is to use a supernatural device to magically switch his soul with the Gangster's. Before that, of course, he'll have to switch with an intermediary - Clark Kent!
