[Season 1 !Season 2 !Season 3 !Season 4 ]
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 1]
Pilot
The first scene is almost identical to the first scene of Tru Calling . Grandma takes a wee girl to the funeral of Eddie Jones [ Lois and Clark, Invisible Man ]. They can see ghosts, and the wee girl's job is to convey the deceased's final request. However, once it gets started it becomes clear the show is a lot more like Medium - though Patricia Arquette actually solves murder-mysteries!
After the credits, the wee girl has grown up to become Jennifer Juggs Hewitt. She's at her wedding, which makes this even more like Medium insofar as they're deliberately driving way male viewers. Hewitt's a Producer, she must take some of the blame. However, token black chick Aisha Tyler might lure some menfolk back.
Juggs is haunted by Wentworth Miller [Prison Break]. Turns out he's MIA in Nam since 1972, and his son is Balthazar Getty [ Alias S5 ]. She must help the ghost pass over to the other side.
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 2]
The Crossing
Juggs has to help the ghost of a small pre-teen boy. He's incredibly annoying, far worse than Ani in Phantom Menace !
Meanwhile, her new husband brings his mother [Christine Baranski - Addams Family Values ] to meet her. Yes, he didn't even introduce them during the engagement!
Apparently, most children can see ghosts. Like in Quantum Leap . But seriously, this means that her childhood ghost-sighting was less than unusual.
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 3]
Ghost, Interrupted
The ghost is twin sister of a girl who's been put in an asylum. The ghost's moods affect her, giving her a tendency towards irrational mood swings.
Meanwhile, Juggs tries to set up her best buddy with the new fireman.
The title is a reference to the film Girl, Interrupted.
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 4]
Mended Hearts
A ghost is stalking his GF. She's got trouble moving on, and wants to be with him - which is even creepier.
Juggs must find out who theghost's heart was donated to. Luckily, although the USA has 50 States and 260 million inhabitants, the next name on the transplant list belonged to a local man!
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 5]
Lost Boys
Juggs is hired to auction off stuff from an old orphanage. Like in the Stephen King series Kingdom Hospital it's haunted by some kids who died there in a fire.
Meanwhie, Juggs has an unwelcome house-guest, her hubby's buddy. He's a bit of a Peter Pan type - remniscent of the Friends character played by Vincent Ventresca [ I-Man ].
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 6]
Homecoming
A teenage boy haunts Juggs. He was adopted, and wants to find out who his real mother was.
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 7]
Hope and Mercy
Hope [ Erica Leerhsen is the ghost of a woman who died at Mercy Hospital. Hence the episode title. Hope wants Juggs to discover the reason for her death.
Richard Herd [ V, Quantum Leap ] is the doctor who operated on her.
The husband's job as a paramedic is important in this ep - his ambulance crashes, which is why Juggs visits the hospital in the first place. But there are far too many coincidences in the story, and it's a bit too neatly tied up at the end.
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 8]
On the Wings of a Dove
The paramedic hubby is haunted by a dangerous ghost. He's the tattooed ex-con who died last ep, and he has unfinished business.
In the b-story we meet Juggs' ex-best buddy from college, Lexi [ Estella Warren ].
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 9]
Voices
Juggs' car is stolen by the teenage son of the Admiral from JAG. When the car is recovered, the radio broadcasts ghostly voices ...
The firefighter husband guy can hear the voices too. Juggs takes her cell-phone to a professor at the local uni.
Mother-in-law Christine Baranski is back in town. She has a new [well, middle-aged] boyfriend in tow ...
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 10]
Ghost Bride
Juggs helps organise a customer's wedding. Unfortunately the bride and groom are haunted by a bunny-boiler ghost.
Luckily, there's a coincidence that is brought out near the end which allows a happy ending.
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 11]
Shadow Boxer
Sonya Braga comes back to keep her son, an up-and-coming boxer, on the straight and narrow.
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 12]
Undead Comic
A comedian who died has some unfinished business.
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 13]
Friendly Neighborhood Ghost (a.k.a. Ghost Next Door)
A stranger moves into the derelict old house across the street from Juggs. He's very secretive and anti-social, which makes Juggs and hubby suspicious.
The stranger is haunted by the ghostly Johnathan Banks [ SeaQuest DSV ], who hides in the back of his pick-up truck and climbs through windows [no teleportation, eh?]. Although ghosts aren't supposed to be able to touch physical objects, he also uses telekinesis in attempts to murder the stranger. However, even the orphans' ghostly dog plays fetch with a real tennis-ball, so the rules aren't exactly followed too closely.
Juggs wants to get involved, even though hubby tries to talk her out of it. Should she invade peoples' privacy and risk exposing her own secret? She even compares her nosy hobby to his career as a firefighter!
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 14]
Last Execution
The ghost of an executed man wants Juggs to give his daughter a message.
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 15]
Melinda's First Ghost
Melinda [AKA Juggs] is haunted by the first ghost she ever saw - her childhood friend. The wee girl's ghost wants her mommy and daddy to get back together, even though they divorced decades earlier. Which is typically easier than it would ever be in real life. Of course, TV shows always provide an unbelievably happy ending within 42 minutes!
Juggs confronts her mother about the enforced denial she suffered in her childhood. It turns out that Mommy Dearest had a selfish reason for being unsupportive. Nice to see that this somewhat mundane mainstream show for once avoids all that sentimental family is everything propaganda!
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 16]
Dead Man's Ridge
Andrea, the sexy black babe, is victim to some poultergeist activity. Serves her right for sleeping alone!
Juggs tries to talk to the ghost, but he keeps disappearing. Turns out he's actually in a coma, and only becomes a ghost when he flatlines. Unfortunately, the doctor thinks the patient is brain-dead but still refuses to DNR him!
The patient's brother is lost on a mountaintop. If the patient doesn't die, then his ghost won't be able to lead Juggs and the rescuers to save his brother. Hey, good job he was a friend of Andrea, or he would never have found Juggs in time!
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 17]
Demon Child
The ghost of a teenage boy is hassling his baby sister. He scares the nanny with some toy cars, then invades the dreams of Juggs' husband.
The secretary from Missing helps convey the boy's final words to his mother [ Lori Loughlin ].
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 18]
Miss Fortune
Juggs and Andrea go to the Carnival. The local firefighters are having a charity Dunk the Paramedic booth, but most of the booths are run by Carnies. Even the ghosts are Carnies, which makes them quite disturbing to behold!
The worst ghost is that of a stage magician. He blames his death on his own brother, and wants a violent revenge.
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 19]
Fury (a.k.a. Condemned to Repeat)
An African-American man died in the 1970s, in a brawl with an Irish-American co-worker. The dead man's son has raised his own son to hate and fear caucasian people.
The Ghost wants Juggs to help right some wrongs. He wants the facts of his death to be made clear, and for the politician who covered it up to come clean.
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 20]
The Vanishing
Juggs gets a head injury. She seems to have lost her power [or is it a curse?] to see dead people ...
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 21]
Free Fall (1)
Juggs has a bird fly into her window - like in Lost . An omen that a family member will die ...
Juggs starts seeing visions of frozen people in airline uniforms. And since there have been no local plane crashes yet, it seems like the crash has yet to happen ...
Ghost Whisperer [Season 1, Episode 22]
The One (2)
Juggs must usher the dozens of ghosts into the next life.
An eeevil type persuades some that they don't HAVE to move on.
Juggs has another, more personal task to perform.
In this reviewer's opinion it is Sickening that boring crap like this is apparently popular, while Dead Like Me was killed off by the Network at the first opportunity.
Ghost Whisperer [Season 2, Episode 1]
Love Never Dies
Juggs is stalked by the ghostly Michael Landes ( Lois and Clark ), who wants her to contact his widow ( Lacey Chabert ).
Juggs befriends local Real Estate Agent Caryn Manheim , who looks destined to cover the Best pal role formerly played by Aisha Tyler .

Delia's First Ghost
Melinda meets a teenage girl whose mother has gone MIA. The girl has Poltergeist problems - telekinesis, finally someone else in the show with psychic powers. Melinda and hubby become official foster parents.
Melinda's co-worker has a dog, and it begins to act strangely. Small wonder - there's a ghost dog that only Melinda (and living dogs) can see!
