Blade: The Series [Season 1, Episode 1]
Pilot
The show starts with Blade chasing down a lead. The vamps are planning something - a Yuppie Vamp named Van Scivers is setting a base up in Detroit. Blade's answer to everything is violence - and it's far more graphic than anything in, for instance, Highlander: The Series!
In Detroit, a gorgeous female US soldier named Krista wants revenge on the people who killed her brother. Turns out it was some yuppies who are actually vamps.
Blade: The Series [Season 1, Episode 2]
Death Goes On
Krista goes after the vamps, but they try to turn her into one of them.
Blade tries to rescue her, but the vamps are expecting him.
The plot is mediocre, but the action is very well-done. This is a very pumped-up version of Angel!
Blade: The Series [Season 1, Episode 3]
Descent
Blade has competition. Humans named Ashers are slaying vamps, then using the dust as a drug. It even gives them superhuman strength!
Blade: The Series [Season 1, Episode 4]
Bloodlines
Blade is captured by a gang of rogue vamps called the Bad Bloods. This is a wonderful pun, and works on several levels. The Gaelic word for Bad Blood resembles the word Dracula, made famous by Irish writer Bram Stoker. Also, these vamps are African-American ...
Their leader is Bokeem Woodbine [The Big Hit], but it used to be - Blade himself! Yes, young Blade was the one who turned the street-gang into vamps!
Meanwhile, Marcus sends Krista to the House of Leichen to get their assistance. Their tech and magic will help track a rogue vamp Krista created.
Blade: The Series [Season 1, Episode 5]
The Evil Within
Krista uses her spirit connection to track Boone. Then she and Chase go gunning for him!
Marcus sends Chase to Berlin to get one of the pregnant women. Blade follows, intent on violence.
Blade: The Series [Season 1, Episode 6]
Delivery
With Chase out of action, Marcus sends Krista to hunt Blade and the pregnant woman.
Blade: The Series [Season 1, Episode 7]
Sacrifice
Someone's bumping off the people who helped Blade in his childhood. Naturally, there's only one enemy who knows about those people ...
Blade: The Series [Season 1, Episode 8]
Turn Of the Screw
Krista tries to cure her mother's cancer - by Embracing her! Unfortunately old mama is hungry enough to eat everyone she knows, and warrior enough to defeat the specialist Cthon rogue vamp clean-up crew! And she's the least civilised vamp in this show - so far, anyway.
Blade: The Series [Season 1, Episode 9]
Angels and Demons
Krista confronts Marcus. Instead of just ashing her, he shows her how he became a vamp. This shows why he hates purebloods so much, and makes him a much more understandable character. And by strange coincidence, he gets some closure this ep!
Blade's worried when she doesn't contact him, so he steps up surveillance on Cthon.
Blade: The Series [Season 1, Episode 10]
Hunters
Blade and his sidekick stick their mole in a cell, to detox her. Then they go hunting for another lone bloodsucker who's also got a woman held prisoner in a basement cell somewhere.
The villain is Gilles De Rais, a French medieval serial killer who wakes to claim new victims every few decades. And compared to him, the House vamps are nice and civilised.
Meanwhile, the Pureblood girl tries to persuade Chase to work for her, against Marcus.
Blade: The Series [Season 1, Episode 11]
Monsters
The Pureblood Girl's plane crashes - but she and her monsterous BodyGuard survive. Blade must take advantage of the opportunity to kill them, before they feed on innocent bystanders.
Blade: The Series [Season 1, Episode 12]
Conclave
The Conclave is the meeting of the Purebloods who rule the House of Cthon. And Marcus is preparing his own little delivery.
Blade and Schen take the brunt of a pre-emptive strike, and face a stack of obstacles before they can clean-up the Cthons!
The climax reveals a couple of amazing double-crosses. And the ending is open for further Seasons ...
