Even a clarinet can be used as a magic wand, as Tom shows by making a flower vanish and re-appear. He is a Full Member of the Magic Circle, and uses some amazing magic tricks to demonstrate the connections between music and science. He has performed his own magic show for the Royal Family at a Buckingham Palace private party.
Ropes become exotic instruments, changing length by magic (with the help of a volunteer from the audience) to demonstrate how the size of an instrument changes its pitch. In another trick, a volunteer gets to hold the group’s mascot, “Monica Sousamouse” who performs an extraordinary feat.
Not to be outdone, Tom’s Clarinet then drinks a glass of milk!
The flower has gone: can the clarinet get it back?
Another way of mixing music and magic ?
Monica Sousamouse travels faster than the speed of light. You’ll have to see the show to find out just how fast!
Monica Sousamouse, Tom’s “glamorous assistant”, volunteers for a spot of levitation.
