15th October - Catch up time again

Well bugger me if a huge chunk of time has already suddenly passed me by again!

Ixion Trackday organised for the 15th and 16th July - Cadwell full circuit was a huge success, even better was the Focused Events trackday organised for the 21st July - Oulton Park with so many Gammas present.

Then Randy Norian came over for the Speedfreaks trackday organised 5th September - Cadwell full circuit. We had a blast ... the bike performed faultlessly. Randy did very well ... vid available for the time being at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/sol_ntl/ - some onboard footage for your delectation!

Winter approaches ... and I'm out of money .. with a race season to fund next year in the KRC endurance series .... no, don't be stupid, it will be on a GSXR750!!really looking forward to that ... heading towards -ahem - 40 quicker than I'd like it will be mine and my team mates respective swan songs in the racing world.

Though, having said that, time and money allowing there's a few tricks up the sleeve to extract some more power. If anyone knows of some carbs larger than 31.5mm, that approximate the same external size of the standard RG500 carbs I'd be interested. Unfortunately with the large beam of the RS250 frame I cannot accommodate TMX carbs or the like. TZ250 carbs offered a potential solution, but we can't control the powerjet settings with the programmable ignition :o( So .. anyone with any ideas drop me a mail! sol'at'spirant'dot'demon'dot'co'dot'uk. I'm also looking at water injection as a real possibility. I've avoided it up until now as the line corrode, and the tank etc adds weight ... but power corrupts, and talking through stuff with Mark Dent has confirmed that we can make huge gains in the midrange with some relatively simple mods.
