It started all one year ago ... doesn't time pass quickly!

"Spotted an advert on Rob Koopman's RG500 for sale list that really caught my attention. Instead of the normal plethora of RG500 frames, RGV conversions, and people requesting RG500 engines, someone was offering something different. An RG500 engine already in an RS250 frame."

... and we are still working on the bike. In reflection I don't think it's actually been that much hassle, there's so many good people out there that have helped - honourable mentions have to go to Mark Dent, Kev Cordina, Neil Ronketti, and Chris Foster who all played their part, and without whom the project would never have materialised! BUT I can't say that even with their welcome help I'd have managed it without the myriad of people on the Gamma list whose ethusiasm for Suzuki's square four has been infectious - not least Randy Norian, and Mark Drysdale, who having built specials around the Gamma have been a wonderful resource. They've never failed to offer advice, and their camaraderie has been very welcome... and you know what else? I look forward to the several mails I get a week, from people who stumble across the website, and have to comment on the bike - you'd be amazed how many people want to do what we've done!

So what have we been doing lately? Well! The bike is in pieces at the moment - a conversation with Kev Cordina and an offer from 'BCL Watchmaster Ltd' - Metal Polishers, one of Kev's sponsors, could not be refused. BCL, one of the companies behind the scenes of Harris, are a fantastic metal polishing company. Next time you admire the fine polish on a set of Harris rearsets think on, they may well have been done by BCL. Any how, it is suffice to say we've gone for a full mirror polish on the frame and swingarm, top yoke, and rearsets. It should be ready this Saturday coming and I can't wait. kev kindly offered to put the bike back together and redo the wiring loom at the same time - I'd like to relocate the battery to the rear subframe soi that I can accomodate a larger battery and hopefully can make the loom a little tidier in the process.

Stay tuned ... photos to follow.
