Many thanks for your e.mail. We get many requests about past members and normally it is not possible to do any research as we do not have any old lists of membership, I have discovered, however, that Mr J W Proctor was the Lodge Secretary of the Palladium Lodge in 1937 and he lived at 177 Middleton Street, The Lodge met at the Oddfellows Hall in Robson Street, Oldham,
It is possible that he was also a member of the Rechabites as well as being in the Odd Fellows. Our initials are I.O.O.F. (Independent Order of Odd Fellows). We do not have a rank of VC unless the inscription is actually VG in which case it stands for Vice Grand. We do not have a rank of Prov M (which I presume stands for Provincial Master in the Rechabites) but we do have the rank of Prov G M (Provincial Grand Master). I hope this information is of use to you.
