The late Mr C F ClarksonMany members of the Cheetham Parks Old Men's Institute attended the funeral of one of their colleague Mr Charles Fairhurst Clarkson of 10 Knowl Street Stalybridge at St Pauls Church on Tuesday. He died last Friday aged 68 years. Mr Clarkson was formerly employed at messrs. Buckley & Newton Corn Mill Mottram Road. He was a member of the King Charles Lodge (now amalgamated with the Star of Providence Institute of the IOOF MU) and he was also very popular with the old men of the institute of which he had been a member for some years. He leaves a widow and one daughter. At the funeral the Rev FW Stephens curate officiated and the mourners were Mrs Clarkson (widow) Miss Clarkson (daughter), Mr F Clarkson (brother), Mrs H Clarkson, Mr H Clarkson, Mrs J Mellor, Mrs Harrison, Mr H Mellor, Mr R Robinson & Mrs W Robinson. Floral tributes were from his widow and daughter, brother, Frank & Jane, Bert Jessie & Hugh, Robert & Frank, Mrs Wilde & Edith, Polly Marion & John, Mrs Robinson, Harry & Elsie, Mrs Goddard & Gladys, Mr & Mrs Tom Platt, the neighbours of Knowl Street, Mary Eric Alan & baby Margaret, Mrs Bottoms, Dora & Ivy, Mr & Mrs Brocklehurst & Elsie & Alice, Martha & Wilfred, Mrs I Marshall of 1 Park Street Stalybridge had charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Lydia Clarkson
Mrs Lydia Clarkson 10 Knowl Street, Stalybridge, who's health had been failing for a long time died on Thursday of last week aged 77 years. She was a widow her husband having died about 10 years ago and much sympathy has been extended to her daughter Miss H. Clarkson. The funeral was on Tuesday when the Rev. E. Lister officiated at the home and at St Pauls' Church.
Mourners were Miss Clarkson, Mr H Clarkson, Mrs H Clarkson and Marion, Mrs Armitt, Mrs Waterhouse, Mrs Warhurst and Miss Wilde. Floral tributes were from Miss Clarkson, relative, friends and neighbours. Mrs L Marshall 1 Park Street Stalybridge was responsible for the arrangements.
