Before choosing stats as a warrior You need to first decide which melee you will be focusing on and which defensive skill you will be using.
This can be quite a difficult choice. But I have a little advice on each weapon type. This advice could well be inaccurate or just plain wrong because, as with almost all of the information on my site, this is based on my own observations on how each weapon works.
Each defensive option has its up sides and down sides. While most decide to choose one of the options and focus only on that, there is a growing number of players deciding to use two of the three choices as they say this gives them an advantage over other players and believe that 400 bonuses in, for example, parry and dodge will protect you better than a 500 bonus in just one of them. I personally haven't seen any concrete proof of this position, but thought it worth mentioning for completeness.
Choosing your defensive option.
Once you have decided on the melee-defence combination you want to use then you need to decide if any other skills will be high on your list of priorities. I would advise people who wish to go PK at some point in the future to think about investing some stat points into int for the other.perception increase it will give. Having a low ot.pe bonus as a player killer is akin to asking the thieves guild PKs to steal from you at every opportunity.
Once all of the decisions are made skill wise then you are ready to start working out the stat allocations you need to make.
Deciding stats can either be done manually by counting up the number of stat points your chosen skills will use, finding out which ones your skill choices rely on the most and then, factoring which skills you want to be the best at, deciding on your stat allocation from that. The second way of choosing is to use Acim's "Manic Panic Macine", inputing your chosen skills, what bonus you wish them to get to and then asking it what rearrange you should use.
A quick word of warning, don't rely totally on Acim's Site or on the manual method, both are simply guide lines for your choice. The best thing to do if you are unsure is to continue playing with the flat 13 points and think about it more.
