To protect the interests and the citizens of the Agatean Empire's only Sea Port the Sun Emperor created a legion of crack warriors known as the Imperial Guard. These skilled, fierce and determined troops patrol the walled city of Bes Pelargic ready to stomp on the fingers of the terminally inquisitive and to reinforce the belief that to be a citizen in the Agatean Empire is to be the most fortunate of mortals.
The impressive training facilities and headquarters of the Imperial Guard are located inside the grand entrance hall of the Imperial Palace. This shining example of the graceful style and incredible wealth of the Empire is located on the east side of Bes Pelargic, at the northeast end of, fittingly, Palace Approach.
As much as it is fun to tell people to join ones own specialisation for no good reason other than "I'm in it!!!", it's not really the way I want to do it. I will detail here a few of the reasons I chose to be an Imperial Guard, then you can decide if it's for you.
The main reason I chose to be an Imperial Guard were the primaries. I know a lot of people will tell you not to choose based on them, but for me I really wanted to keep using my bo and so my choice had to be on of the ones with polearm. I chose Imperial Guards from that list because they were the ones which seemed the most sensible.
Also getting to the Imperial Guard guild was easy, get onto Palace Approach then it's northeast until you can't go northeast any more, at which point you go east as far as you can and you're in the guild. One north and you're at the joining NPC, Hu Yuu Wan (much better than Him Hung Lo...) From this room you only need type 'join warriors', confirm that you are sure and you'll become an Imperial Guard!
