Melbourn Mushroom Club was formed in 1995 by a group of people, now firm friends,
who attended Helene Davies' evening class, 'Fascinating Fungi' at Melbourn Village College.
We were indeed fascinated, and have been meeting regularly since then.
Did you know that fungi are found all through the year?
We have forayed on Therfield Heath on Boxing Day!
But April is the real start of the season,
when we collect St.George's Mushrooms; and very good they are too.

Foray for St Georges mushrooms. Newmarket Golf Course of A1304 SW of Newmarket towards Six Mile Bottom. Meet at the end of the drive to the Golf Course (200 yds beyond Golf Club entrance) at 10.15 for 10.30. |
