In Loving Memory of Jim
This page is dedicated to the memory of my late father-in-law James Green (pictured above), who sadly passed away in December 1997 aged 58 after a brave battle with thyroid cancer. Jim was a very popular and proud man, with many friends and interests. He loved the outdoors and his great passions were clay pigeon shooting and fishing. He took a great pride in his work as a metal polisher, as in his home and garden. Everything Jim ever did was done to perfection, just the way he wanted it. I can honestly say that I never remember him ever cutting a corner or giving anything he did any less than 100%. He was also a very dedicated husband, father and grandfather, and worked extremely hard all his life to give his family the very best he could provide. He loved his wife Christine dearly and always strived to help and encourage Mark in any way he could. He also adored his 2 grandchildren and (despite my protests!) always swore he would teach them to shoot and fish when they were old enough. To coin a cliché, Jim was an all round "good bloke" always ready with help an advice and was liked by anyone who came into contact with him. He is greatly missed by the whole family, but I just know that if such a thing is at all possible, he will be sitting up there watching over us. Rest in peace Jim, you will always live on in our hearts.
