SDR, The story so far.

If this band worked by a rule of thumb, then that thumbs name would be patience. S.D.R. are not a band to be rushed.

Formed in late 2001, the band began life when workmates Matt and Sion realised the both knew people interested in forming bands. The ingrediants were all there, and Paul ( Drummer), Chris (singer / gitarist), Sion ( bassist) and Matt (guitarist) began those first tentative Practices.

Things went well, and so band names became an issue, and a problem. After passing on such names as Infinitum, Cheese on tost, Metalfest, Blue toe, and even being threatend to leave the name overshadow alone, a moniker for the quartet was found, and S.D.R. were born.

Songs came and went, as did the "Do not obstruct" demo in late 2002, but by autumn 2003 S.D.R. had found its sound. The band were ready to move forward with its perfect mixture of dark metal, combined with a melodic twist.

The follow up to "do not Obstruct" was relesed in 2004. " Death Designs" was a 2 track EP featuring death design and Defect.

In late 2005 paul left the band due to family commitments .
The band continued on through 2005 and 2006 writing new material and auditioning for a drummer. Not unlike hot dinners, many drummers came and went. That is until Ian joined the band in May 2007. The remainder of 200 was spent writing and rehearsing new material. an As Yet Un-Named Demo was put out in october ( available on mysoace ) and the band are now planning gigs and an album for 2008.
