Some of you that know me may remember that I spent a lot of time messin' around with music on my various computers.  Thankfully, those days are over (!) but it was something I just had to do :D as it led to many things I have been lucky enough to enjoy....

Here's how I started out:

1972 Er.. I was born!
1978 I stuck a cushion inside a Quality Street tin and started to hit it with Mechano to music!  Yeah, I know... but I was only 6 years old!
1985 I bought a SpecDrum add-on for my ZX Spectrum 48k lol
1988 My Yamaha DD10 drum machine (8 small finger pads and 2 foot pedals) helped me learn some co-ordination.  By this time, I've played drums a few times on the school kit after hours lol
1989 Commodore Amiga 500 which I later used to mix samples using OctaMed in the early 90's
1995 At long last, the PC's music capability starts to become useful, so I invest in one and continue my sampling hobby using FastTracker.  1996 I've moved to London, Docklands...
2000 Back in old blighty in 1997 and a Dad by 2000!  My Son, Lucas pop's out!  Nothing to do with music but I had to mention it, of course :D
2001 I move from FastTracker to a range of mixing products named eJay
2004 I join mates calling themselves The Van Jammers where I help out with their jammin' sessions using a Boss DR-3 drum machine....  At last my fingers can tap away to people who don't actually mind (over the years I found it's not that popular in the office :D)
2006 I bought a Yamaha TD-3KW electronic drum kit with an ambition to fulfil my obvious passion for drums.  At the age of 34 (gulp!) I took it seriously and practiced like mad to catch up!  I started a website for The Van Jammers to expose some of their music
2007 I purchased an acoustic drum kit and The Van Jammers start gigging!

My School Pic's

These are all the school photo's I have (apart from my own mug-shots!), which you are more than welcome to download.  Over the years, some of you have contacted me for the large picture taken in 1988 of Hamble School, which I scanned into 4 sections.  You can download each section.  Thanks to Louis for the loan of his copy, it was 1m long!

So long ago, but I remember so much about this school and my classmates.  I left this school because we moved from Bitterne to Bursledon...
