The numbers are the tune numbers, not the page
numbers.
The noises are mp3 files (all under 1Mb) of me playing
the fiddle.
The notes are links to sheet music, where available,
and if I can be bothered finding it.
The recordings are all going to be first takes. I’ll
stick to the notes pretty much as written – I know that’s missing the point of
this music, but it’s also part of the purpose of doing this. Doing this has
already given me some ideas for my own variations. I’m a very lazy person, so
I’m not going to spend long on each tune, and a lot of the time I’ll probably
just sightread straight into the mic. I just want to get a flavour of lots of
tunes, maybe learn the names of some of them for once in my life. I suppose
this is kind of an audio diary of that process.
