Emma has performed in venues all over the UK. As a percussionist Emma plays everything from orchestral repertoire (with Viva orchestra) to improvised music for dance and theatre. Emma's particular passion is tuned percussion, and she has been influenced greatly by African balofon (xylophone) music. Emma is hoping to study balofon playing in Africa in the near future. She recently toured with Leeds-based theatre company, Interplay in their innovative multisensory production, Daughter of the Wind, for which she co-composed the music. Emma performs regularly with Nusantara (Malay Gamelan orchestra) and Battuta (an 11-piece samba fusion band). www.battuta.co.uk Emma has also recorded music (with Charles) for TV and film.
