On the Planet Vortis, a menagerie of menacing monsters advance towards Dr Who and his faithful friends.

But the creatures freeze as a strange time eddy whips up around them!

With a shimmering glow, the monsters fade away and Dr Who is safe.

"We're safe Dr Who!" says Vicki in delight.

"Are you blind cloth eyes! Ian and Barbara have vanished too!" Dr Who replies.

"Well let's get out of here before they come back." Vicki says.

"I suppose we should pit our wits and rescue them!" decides Vicki.

"Yes child, I was about to say that! Into the ship at once! We must follow their time traces!"

"What are time traces Doctor?"

"Shush." says Dr Who. "I'll explain later."
