Inside, the vortex rushes into the room and begins to drag everyone towards its almighty core. But Doctor Who has a plan! He grabs at a random object and hurls it through the door into the time storm.
"Fetch it Archie!" he cries to the ferocious creature of fear and festivities.



Like a money grabbing old actress, the Creature takes the bait and lunges after the prize which it gobbles hungrily. In an instant it is caught up in the maelstrom. The monster is swallowed up and sucked back to the very beginning of the universe where it will be destroyed in the hydrogen inrush - Event one - the Big Bang! The world is saved! Hurrah for Doctor Who and hooray for old fashioned oil!



With the creature destroyed, history is back on course and the monsters, Alex and Bernice all vanish into the nether regions of the great beyond of all our tomorrows.

Doctor Who collapses from his injuries.
"You mustn't die Doctor!" sobs Dorothy 'Ace' McShane. "Many of your enemies would delight in your death. And you still owe me 50 quid for the other night."
"I might regenerate." notes Who sombrely. "Sure as a fizzy fig, that might happen."

The Doctor looks for the last time at his nubile young friend.
"So glad we made it, time will never change it, no no no no. Goodbye my friend." 
He collapses and suddenly his body begins to glow.
"Ooooh!" goes Ace.



Before her eyes the Time Lord's features blur and evolve, evolve and blur. With time back on its rightful track, Doctor Who regenerates back through his fifth, sixth and finally seventh personas.
"Time may change me. But I can't trace time." he murmurs.



"Professor! I, I, I..." cries Ace.
"That's three eyes and one breast, makes you sound an over eager testicle young lady," says McWho. 
"You saved the Universe, not to mention my stinking bacon." adds McShane.
"Well I've always been a sap for deprived dogs." explains the Time Lord.

"We did good didn't we Doctor?" enquires Hace.
"Time will tell Hace, time will tell. Now, let's be getting back to the TARDIS you old donkey woman."
