Doctor Who on Blue Peter!

And now it's time for the return of a much loved rubbishy old TV show...no it's not Doctor Who! It's Wednesday, it's five o'clock and it's time for....

"Hello!"

"...and welcome to the show!"
"Coming up in today's addition of Blue Peter we have a gaggle of giggles and a whole feast of fun!"

"Yes indeed, today we have a very special treat for you, as we welcome into the studio one of television's best loved heroes. No not Ardal O'Hanlon from "My Hero", but someone we haven't seen much of for many a year. Isn't that right John?"

"Yes indeed Valerie! In actual fact we're just waiting for him now but as usual he seems to be running rather late. I wonder if you've guessed just Who our special guest is? I wonder Who it can be...Who can be it? Perhaps Val can fill you all in..."

"This weekend sees the 40th birthday, or anniversary as grown ups call it, of one of the best loved children's programmes in the history of the entire world. No we're not talking about "The Biz" with Paul Nicholls and Nicola Bryant but forty years ago this Sunday the famous time travelling human Time Lord Dr Who took off from his cottage with the General and Keela, and began his fearsome flight through eternity. His mission? To conquer space and...well, just a moment...what's that noise?"

"Leaping lizards I think Doctor Who is finally here John! Mind you don't land on the the dog Mr Who!"
"Don't worry Leslie he's nowhere near you..."

"What an absolute smashing time machine Doctor Who has. I'm going to go and welcome him to Blue Peter!"
