M65
& M66 Galaxies
Date: 20th March 2007 Equipment:: Celestron Nexstar 8" SCT with Canon 400D at prime focus. Exposure: 3 x 3 minute subs at ISO1600. Processing: Stacked in DeepSkyStacker and processed in PixInsight. Comments: This is a great pair of galaxies, superbly lined up in the sky so that you can capture both of them in one image. Again, tracking was a real problem (see the wierd shaped stars in the bottom right hand corner) and the images were extremely noisy. Credits: Many thanks to Bill Scott for loan of his Celestron Nexstar. |
