Horsehead Nebula
Date: Sometime in spring 2007 Equipment:: Celestron Nexstar 8" SCT, Canon 400D at prime focus. Exposure: Single 5 min exposure at ISO1600. Processing: Processed in PaintshopPro. Comments: This is a beautiful but very faint object in Orion. It was very late in the season and Orion was practically on the horizon. I didn't think we would capture anything, but with a lot of image stretching we found we had captured something. It really needs much longer exposures, more of them and for it to be much higher in the sky. One to go back to. Credits: Many thanks to Bill Scott for loan of his Celestron Nexstar telescope. |
