Another weekend with no rain and lots of uni work to do. Only one thing to do then- go paddling!

The chosen destination was the Afon (thats Welsh for river) Teifi in Carmarthernshire (thats Welsh for a long drive).

Dr Sloan & I arrived just as the bus was pulling up, despite them having left an hour and a half earlier than us. Sweet. We immediately went to the pub while the bus people faffed a bit. Drunkenness then happened.

On Saturday after a greasy breakfast we eventually got on the river below at the bunkhouse (despite being so close to the river faff occurred until approximately half 11).

At the bottom of the slalom course there is a hole which Rosie, who was in my group, managed to have a swim in. This became known as Rosie's Hole.

After a rather long flat paddle broken up by some interesting rapids, including a rather nibbly looking drop at the end which James C and Andrew bravely attempted, despite it only being their second trip, it was back to the bunkhouse watch rugby and drink beer.

The next morning, myself, Charles, Chris & Doug decided we would wake up early and go for a paddle on the slalom course while everyone else faffed. We were joined from the bank by Leafy after he finished his morning run to the pie shop. We were keen to get out in the morning as we'd heard its best to get up early if you want to go for a play in Rosie's Hole. Rosie's Hole is very moist, but not very retentive. Doug had a swim in Rosie's Hole. Charlie also went for a dip in Rosie's Hole and it got her all wet. Dr Sloan snapped his shaft in Rosie's Hole. As far as we know, the blade is still in Rosie's Hole. I got my end up in Rosie's Hole & bottomed out.

After the morning's events we did the section of the Teifi from Henllan Falls to Newcastle Emlyn, which was mostly flat with a bit of interest at the end.

Dr Sloan & myself then found a random pub which served us epic amounts of Roast Dinner- result!

Another trip over, it's very sad to think that it'll be at least a year before we get to see Rosie's Hole again. Lot's of people will have been through Rosie's Hole by then.
