Reviews & Photos | Gower Trip October 2005
So, we left Brighton for yet another Gower trip. The surf was forecast to actually exist which would make a nice change from the previous couple of years. The journey there was uneventful, with the usual stupid games. Most of us enjoyed laughing at Patrick who had drunk most of a bottle of white wine by the time we had left the M25.

We arrived at the Gower in time for last orders (a miracle) and quickly found our lovely warm chalets and the equally warm beer(yuck!). Many hours later, after some slightly cooler drinks, we retired, excited for the day to come.

Saturday commenced with a great breakfast, cooked mainly by me, as Andy wasn’t there (cheers Mat & Grace for your help), then we headed off to Horton Bay for a spot of surfing. The waves were about 2ft and while not exactly clean, not bad for a beginner’s trip! Jordan got very close to Simon (well his boat anyway) and then spent a lovely day in Swansea with Lou and Matt (cheers guys!).

On Saturday night (after a little sleep) we met in the bar for some food and a few drinks. This was followed by some more drinks and finally by the random shot game. I was once again impressed that for a fiver each, I managed to negotiate 4 shots each, the most notable been the purple one that even the barman couldn’t work out what he had put in it! If you want to know what really happened in the bar ask Taz, as none of the rest of us can remember!

When they had finally had enough of us we headed back to the chalets for more drinks and games. Ben and Michelle (Oh sorry I mean Rachel) were getting friendly, as were a couple of others!

Sunday followed with the hard core surfing and soft core hangovers, again at Horton on 2/3ft cleaner surf than the previous day!

All that remained was to drive back to Brighton. All in all another great trip, cheers to all.
