Peter
Duck's equiped with a crank operated lifting keel; one hundred winds of
a small handle lifts the keel flush with the bottom allowing it to be
beached. The photographs below were taken on a small beach
in Pool-wyke at the northern end of Windermere. A little stream coming
from the hill works its
way across a patch of marsh land (note: the reeds to the right)
before forming a small lagoon and finally spilling out across the
beach. As you can see, an excellent place for a family to
come ashore.
