Venice 1^st - 3^rd August 2003

For Jo's 21st Birthday we went for a weekend break to Venice. It was a Lovely weekend although VERY hot. But we both enjoyed ourselves and had a great time together.

This is the 'Bridge of Sighs'. It is called this because it led to the beheading area in the Doghe's Palace on the right.  If you were walking across here then it's basically curtains for you! - hence you were sighing.

This is Jo taking a well needed rest away from the sun

On the Saturday night when Jo and I took a nice relaxing ride on a Gondola at about 11pm. If you look closely you are albe to see the lights of the Rialto bridge at the top of the picture
