Connecting to a game as a host

When you want to host a game you will have to find an empty game room. 

Click on the host button and the game room screen will appear.  The title at the minute will say “Yourname’s Game”.  To change this you need to hit the settings button below the text window.  This brings up the game options menu.

Game name -  Enter the title you want to attract people to your game. (see notes on types of game in previous section).

Game description -  This is where you put details of you game e.g. C number, map,  and Restrictions.

Maximum Players -  This is where you choose how many players you want in the game (max 8)

Enable Team Play -   Most games have this enabled.  You need this if your going to have teams of players in the game.  If you don’t check this it will be a free for all game.

Private Game -  Enable this if you want to password protect your game. You check the box and enter a password.

After you have set all these options people should start entering your room.  They may have questions so watch the chat!  When you are ready hit the launch button to enter the Mech3 multiplayer screen.

You have to choose all the options and then hit lock to confirm.  If anyone hasn’t got the maps it will tell you when you try to lock. 

You will have to make the teams for people to join up to.

Then after all your players have chosen ready a launch button lights up like in the single player. Click this to start.
