Viking Textiles

I've used these pages to ramble on about some of the aspects of Viking textiles that interest me.

The Scandinavian peoples of the Viking Age, a.k.a. "The Vikings", practised a range of textile crafts some of which are still not widely known outside Scandinavia. These include nalbinding, sprang and tablet-weaving. It is convenient for me that these crafts generally require smaller, cheaper equipment than is needed to weave cloth.
