Solar Eclipse

The total Solar Eclipse of 1999 was a phenominal eclipse; the last eclipse of the 1900s and seen by some as the eclipse to analyse for end of the world stuff. Moreover it was to be visible in Cornwall, giving it a certain mystical connection.

The tune for 'Solar Eclipse' was based on an old Cornish folk song (which was actually quite hard to find as many of the said folk songs were argued in terms of their origin -predominantly Devon/ Dorset and Ireland) .

This was one of the first Ward collaberations recorded out of 'Obvious Choice Recording Studios' (OCR).

I am happy to announce that the world did not end.

Somebody Cares Originally written with the Samaritans in mind - or even Red Nose Day. Shane soon got to realise that charities want people to pay for everything whilst they benefit from doing as little as possible. He couldn't even get a charity to put their name behind the song without paying a brass farthing. Shame really.

Written in 1995, the style of beat is influenced by the song 'Always and Forever' (Heatwave). Anyone who doesn't know the song can find it on this link Always and Forever

The rest of the song is pure Ward Brothers. Click on the title to hear 'Somebody Cares'

Only in Your Dreams People are only human and the time we invest has to have some return for it to be worthwhile. This song is part of an album yet to be completed. If one were to think along the lines of Enigma and Oldfield this album would stand well in that sort of company.

The album will be called 'Dreams', and one might be forgiven for prefixing the word 'pipe' until sufficient time is discovered to complete the idea.

Film Music Chris and Shane entered a competition on a radio station showcasing the theme music to the film 'American Beauty'. It didn't win but the composition was an interesting exercise.

Music to be uploaded soon.
