| Cambridge - January 2006 |
| A crisp
January day was just what was needed to take a VIP passenger to Cambridge for a 'birthday'
excursion. Its also Rachel's last flying day before the 'baby' break. |
| Great,
we've managed to switch the GPS on this time and get the radio on the Garmin to work.
After take-off, Epping Forest is the first notable landmark. |
| First
waypoint at the Enfield reservoirs and then north up the Lea Valley. The VIP passenger
takes this in her stride. |
| Over Ware,
routing to Duxford and Cambridge. Approaching from the south, you see the 'victorian' side
of town rather than the colleges and backs. We're heading for Marshalls aerospace. They do
lots of maintenance and servicing of big jets and has a proper runway to match. |

| Kings
College in the distance. From Duxford, you arrive at Cambridge very quickly and we had to
double back to do a proper approach. |
| Sporting
our high-vis jackets. there's just time for a sandwich before a speedy return. |
