Louis E Quinn, originally from Newtownhamilton, Co. Armagh, arrived in the USA in 1931 and made an invaluable contribution to the Irish music scene there with his band The Shamrock Minstrels. As his love of the music of his native land grew deeper, he decided to impart his knowledge to his children and for many years audiences both in the USA and Ireland enjoyed the performances of The Quinn Family. This is a limited-edition issue by Glens Music of a much cherished album, with permission of Glen Arm Records of New York and the Quinn family. Also available as Glen Arm DI-Rr2010.
