How did I end up with a pinball table in my living room - a question I've asked myself several times....

A good friend, and avid pinball fan, had a few tables that were broken, I offered to help fix one, and before you could say 'pop bumper' there was a broken pinball table in my garage.
I got that one working so another arrived, and then another, and then due to shortage of space at my friends house I had to move one into my living room to get the next broken one into the garage. Some time later my friend moved into a new house (big enough to house 8 pinball tables in a spare room!) so reclaimed all his tables. This left a 'hole' in my living room - I could get a sideboard... or perhaps a bureau - but would they make me smile ?
No, a pinball table it had to be - so I went out and bought myself one.

Funhouse is a good table, plenty of game play and a superb game element in Rudy. the character in the middle of the table. Rudys eyes follow the ball around the table and he talks to you while you play. Rudy gets more upset as the score goes up and he tells you about it - but there is a bonus if you can get the ball in Rudys mouth while he's talking!

It is a giggle, Unfortunately I don't have the high score on it, despite many hours of investment.
One of the great things about having your own table is you actually get to learn the rules and how to play it, These are complex games with many rules. The unpredictability of the play, the flashing lights, and the crashing balls gives it a certain appeal that modern video games lack and will probably never emulate well.
