The new Digitarium Zeta model is intended primarily for use in portable domes. It projects a 1200 pixel diameter circle and offers a compact size to facilitate storage and transport from site to site.
The Zeta can be used in domes up to approximately 40 ft/12m in diameter. The Zeta’s angle of projection is 175 degrees, making it more immersive in a portable dome than the Epsilon’s 155 degree angle of projection in fulldome mode.

The breakthrough planetarium projectors Digitarium Alpha introduced in 2003, with the later Digitarium Alpha 2 , were the first truly affordable digital planetarium systems.
The next generation models Gamma and Epsilon continue in this mould, offering what is believed to be the best value on the market for astronomy education in a small or medium sized dome.
The new Digitarium Zeta model is intended primarily for use in portable domes.

The flexibility of digital projection enables educators to cover a much broader and deeper range of topics, a vast improvement over portable analog (pinhole) projectors. Think of the difference between using a slide projector and a computer.
The Digitarium systems stand apart from other digital planetarium systems in a number of critical areas:
- Best usability: The easiest interface to learn and use is the unique handheld, backlit remote control. Intuitive icons label each button. With no separate control computer required, educators are liberated from complex software interfaces, aren't tethered to the projector, don't need to block audience sight lines, and need only a fraction of the setup time. Spend more time focused on your students rather than your system.
- Lowest training costs: Due to its excellent usability, no special operator training is required other than reading how to set up and put away the system. Our free lesson plans can get you started teaching right away.
- Fast setup/takedown time: With the portable system, from the moment you open the transit case until the sky is projected on the dome takes only a couple of minutes. Takedown requires about the same amount of time.
- Best value: Designed from the start for higher volume, lower cost, and lower overhead production and distribution than competitors in order to put tools within reach of most educational institutions. Even at an affordable price, it is believed it matches or outperforms many more expensive models on the most important criteria for practical astronomy education. We invite you to compare competing products in person and see this value for yourself.
- The market leader. The Digitarium systems are the best selling small dome digital planetarium systems in the world.
