Branch Meeting News

At the Branch meeting held at the New Inn Woodville on Monday 14th October 2002 it was sad to see the non appearance of Secretary Dave Buckett who I believe has only missed a a couple of meetings since the start of the Association. David has been ill of late and we all wish him a speedy recovery. Steve Davies stepped into the chair so to speak in the absence of both Dave and chairman Mark who was also unavailable, so, many thanks to Steve for taking over for the meeting. President Ray Gould has informed us that we will have a guest speaker for the November meeting so watch this space.
Training was once again the main topic and Ray is hoping to start a course for new referees the first week in November and complete the course at the end of January 2003 so hopefully we will get a good number of the trainees complete the course and continue to referee.
Just a reminder if you have any injuries and are asked to be a witness or make a statement ensure that you have contacted your local County Football Association first, never commit yourself to signing a statement or anything else until you have had the ok to do so.
Once again the Christmas Dinner will be at the New Inn and we are looking at Mid January so keep that in mind and get your deposit to Steve as soon as possible after we know the date.
