Vision
Sarah joined her first band Vision in 1993 at the age of 19, with two years guitar playing experience.
They were aiming eventually to play rock music, Queen in particular, but started off with simple old Rock and Roll numbers because they were easier. They soon moved onto the Rock Songs they wanted to play.
The core of the band was eventually to be Drummer Steve Cole and Sarah on Guitar. When Sarah joined the band they had a Lead Guitarist, a close friend of Steve's, Scott Cunningham, and a singer who they both met at school, Mark.
Vision saw quite a few Bassists come and go, with their claim to fame being a guy called Robin who had at one time played for the 70's Glam Rock band The Sweet (although not at a time when they were in the spotlight).
Eventually they stumbled across an amazing Vocalist by the name of Eric Tankard. Eric was a George Micheal "Sound a like" and narrowly missed selction for the TV program Stars In Their Eyes.
Unfortunately Sarah was forced to leave Vision when she developed Tinnitus, ringing in the ears. So there's a lesson there for all you budding "would be" guitarists. Wear Ear Plugs, it's just not worth it!
Pictures of Vision coming soon!
Various attempts at Bands
After a few years of not playing in a band and missing it desperately, Sarah went out, armed with some ear plugs, and made a few attempts at putting together another band. Unfortunatly nothing took off to a great degree, but it all serves as playing experience, and Sarah gained alot of that while out there.
Scream
Sarah joined Scream, a Reading based Rock covers band in Sept '98. They worked hard at putting together a set and finding the last two members of the band, a Bassist and Vocalist. Then after several months of rehearsals they started Gigging.
Scream's first gig was supporting a friend of Sarah's with a half hour set consisting of just six songs, at the Star Pub in Guildford. They went down extremely well!
(Pictures of the gig to follow soon!)
After gaining a taste for gigging, they went on to do many more, including several in the Student Bar at Reading University, Camberley Boxing Club, The Fruitbat in Reading, a Police BBQ and a Christmas party to name just a few.

Screams fortunes were to turn, when their very talented Vocalist Karen decided to leave the band after being offered singing work abroad. Although dissapointed to lose her they were all delighted for her. As a result of this loss, Scream managed to hook together with a young man and Vocalist called Jamie who was looking for a backing band. His outfit was called The First Class.

And yes, that is sarah singing on the last Song! Now who needs Ear Plugs?
The First Class
The band Scream, minus Vocalist and the Lead Guitarist (Wayne), manifested into The First Class, with sarah playing Lead Guitar for the first time in a band. Jamie already had a list of well paid gig's waiting for them, and they had to work very hard to learn new songs. Although they took with them some of Screams songs, this was Jamie's outfit, and he already had a set list, none of which Scream knew how to play. So they set about learning around 20 new songs in just a few weeks, ready for the first gig.
The Red Cow in Buckinghamshire was the first gig. Just a warm up one to see how the new band would cope. Everything went well, and it was all systems go. There were still many new songs to learn before they could do anything major.
Sarah was, by this time, having problems committing to the amount of time Jamie was asking for, and so after just one more gig she left the band. She later discovered that the rest of the band and Jamie also went seperate ways at this point, meaning at least she hadn't lost anything!
Smells like Suchi
This band was put together by Sarah for a one off gig for a Christmas Party Dec '01. It was hosted by Sarah's Ju Jitsu Club Tatsumaki Ju Jitsu Kai, and all the band members were from within the club and training in Ju Jitsu. (Ok, so the Bassist only did about 2 lessons, but it still counts!)
