After 6 months,
I joined a college band, and after moving to London, played in a
couple of pub bands. Some great gigs, and a lot of fun. After a
few years, work started to get more serious, and the requirement
to feed and house the offspring meant that the guitars had to go.
Last summer (2002),
I decided that I wanted to get back into playing guitar again, but
decided I wanted to do it properly this time. I started
lessons in Oct 2002, and I am having great fun all over again. It
is a little difficult having to unteach the bad habits picked up
more than 10 or so years ago, but very rewarding when the things
that have puzzled you for years are all explained.
Sarah is a great
teacher, not simply because she can play fantastically well, but
because she is able to communicate what you need to do in a simple,
straight forward manner, and always with a strong sense of humour.
My hesitation of being taught Rock n Roll by a girl has been thoroughly
buried!
I can recommend
Sarah as a guitar tutor to everyone either beginner or old
dog like me.
