Section 27 Bar Sub-Committee
27.1 The Committee shall delegate responsibility for the day to day running of the bar to a bar sub-committee.
27.2 This sub-committee shall also undertake such other functions as the Committee may from time to time delegate.
27.3 The Bar Sub-Committee shall comprise the elected Bar Chairman and Bar Secretary/Treasurer and Licensee and and other additional members approved by the Committee at its first meeting after the Annual General Meeting.
27.4 The Bar Sub-Committee is authorised to purchase on behalf of the club such stocks, as it considers necessary.
27.5 The Bar Sub-Committee shall make rules for the proper operation of the bar subject to the approval of the Committee and shall provide that stocktaking is done once per month.
27.6 The Bar Sub-Committee must propose the names of the voluntary bar stewards to the Committee for approval.
27.7 Only approved members of twelve months actual membership of the club may volunteer for bar stewardship.
27.8 Only members of the Bar Sub-Committee and approved volunteer stewards may operate the bar.
27.9 The Bar Treasurer shall submit the accounts to the Committee, Hon Secretary or the auditors as and when they may direct.
27.10 The Bar Treasurer shall transfer such of the bar funds to the club's general account as deemed necessary by the Committee.
27.11 The bar may not give credit or cash cheques.
27.12 The bar stewards may refuse to serve any person without giving a reason, and may also close the bar at any time within the permitted hours if conditions become adverse.
27.13 Bar Sub-Committee meetings shall be called as required by the Bar Secretary in consultation with the Bar Chairman. Four days notice of meetings shall be given. Three members shall form a quorum.
27.14 Minutes of all meetings shall be kept and confirmed at the next succeeding meeting. The minutes shall be produced at the request of the General Committee or the Hon Secretary.
