Section 17 Suspension and Expulsion of Members
17.1 The Committee shall have the power to reprimand, suspend or expel any member who shall infringe any Rule or Bye-Law or whose conduct shall, in their opinion, render him/her unfit for membership.
17.2 No member shall be reprimanded or expelled without first being summoned to appear before the Committee. Nor shall he/she be reprimanded, suspended or expelled unless two-thirds of the Committee then present shall vote for his/her reprimand, suspension or expulsion. No period of suspension shall exceed 12 months.
17.3 Every member so summoned shall receive at least 14 days notice in writing from the Secretary and such notice shall contain a statement of the charges brought against him/her.
17.4 A member so summoned shall be given full opportunity to advance a defense.
17.5 A suspended member shall not be entitled to any club privileges.
