RULES OF THE CLUB
Section 14 Meetings
14.1 The Annual General Meeting shall be held in October each year on a date to be fixed by the Committee. The agenda for this meeting shall be posted to the members not less than 14 days prior to the date of the meeting together with such business as may be submitted by the Committee or any member who shall have given notice of the motion he/she proposes to make.
14.2 Notice of a motion by a member shall be given in writing not less than one calendar month prior to the date of the Annual General Meeting and the Secretary shall add to the agenda.
14.3 A Special General Meeting will be called by the Committee and also by the Secretary on being requested to do so by not less than 25 members in writing, or one fifth of the membership whichever is less.
14.4 The Half Yearly General Meeting will be held in the March of each year for the purpose of presenting of a balance sheet, amending the rules and election of Festival Secretaries if required.
14.5 Committee Meetings shall be held monthly or when considered necessary by the Chairman or Secretary.
14.6 At least 14 days notice of any General Meeting stating business to be transacted at such a meeting shall be given to every member in writing and left or posted to his/her address.
14.7 Every eligible member over the age of 18 shall have one vote.
14.8 A General Meeting may proceed to business if 18 members are present within 30 minutes after the time fixed for the meeting.
14.9 If the number of members present at a General Meeting convened on the requisition of the members does not form a quorum; the meeting shall be dissolved.
14.10 A quorum not present at a meeting convened by order of the Committee the meeting shall stand adjourned to the week following at the same time and the meeting so adjourned may proceed to business whatever the number of members present.
14.11 Any General Meeting duly constituted may adjourn to such time as the members present direct and may continue to such adjournment as from time to time they may think fit.
