Sanjai Tailor

I have been a DJ for over 10 years starting off in the mobile circuit doing weddings and private functions, I then progressed to doing regular pubs and clubs working within Luminar clubs in the area and Central Rock Cafe, Kettering, a 1200 capacity venue. I am currently the resident DJ at The Litten Tree in Wellingborough.

My strengths are my personality as I am not shy with using the Mic and my ability to read the crowd, I never go to a gig with a playlist in mind. I am professional and appreciate that DJ ing is a business and not a hobby. I have also presented a radio show on a local radio station for over 3 years, this has not only strengthened my profile but improved my microphone voice. (I do not sound like a fairground DJ)

My style is Charty and Party, I can cover all genres of commercial music but I would not claim to specialise in R & B, Funky House, D & B etc. I tend to mix up my tunes and so far, this formula has not let me down.

I am 35 years old and I have been doing Disco's for 18 years.

I have a great personality which is reflected in my technique of being able to read an audience and know what will get them going by playing the right kind of music and knowing the right kind of things to say.

Over the years I have worked in many different venues, Pubs, Clubs and enjoying a weekly spot at the Kingfisher and the Hind Hotel, to name but a few.

Having been a JF for so long I still enjoy the thrill of making a great night for everyone involved. Weddings, Anniversaries, Birthday Parties, I can cater for all requirements as I make it my job to carry all the many different types of music from the 50's right through to today and on a daily basis I am updating new songs to my collection.

I started  DJing when I was about 14, doing my local youth club disco's back in the late 80's.  After about a year of that I started working for a friend, helping out with Private Functions, (Wedding's, Birthday's, etc).

A few years later, (when I was old enough!), I was helping out in Pubs and Clubs with the same disco, mainly in Northampton.

When my friend retired from DJing I took a break for a few years too.  In 1995 I bumped into an old mate whilst he was DJing in a local pub.  That was it, I wanted back in and started working for him for a couple of years.  Since then I have never looked back and now work for myself and a couple of other companies and clubs.

I consider myself a bit of an all rounder, mainly 80's pop, 90's/200 & dance.  I am not too keen on the R & B scene and I also think you can't beat a bit of cheese!.

I pride myself on having a bit of everything. My preferred functions are Pubs, Clubs, Weddings and Birthdays.  I will have a go at just about anything, but tend to stay away from Kids disco's, (they wear me out!).  I have even been know to present the odd Karaoke.

I am 35 years old and I have been working Karaokes for 17 years and through doing the Karaokes I was able to enjoy several years as a semi-professional singer, entertaining in Pubs, Clubs and several Air Bases.

I also did a brief spell in Alcudia and from this I was able to go into a recording studio and produce 2 albums which was a wonderful opportunity. I would not have done this without starting with the Karaoke.

I still enjoy doing Karaokes as you get to meet some wonderful people.

I have a very out going personality and feel that after all these years I still have a lot to offer an evening of Karaoke.
