This one day workshop provides both a physical and
emotional preparation to help couples approach
labour and birth with confidence. The focus is
towards facilitating an active birth and helping women to gain trust
in working with
their bodies and in helping birth partners gain a greater understanding of how
to support the birthing woman. The workshop provides you with information
and resources to help make informed choices to have the birth experience that
is right for you.
Workshop includes:
- Normal physiology of labour and birth
- The Role of the Birth Partner
- Breathing, relaxation, massage, movements for labour
- Discover positions to help yourself and baby during labour and birth
- Practice effective coping skills
- Comfort measures for labour and birth
The workshop is designed to complement NHS classes and is recommended
for
first time parents but is also excellent as a refresher
course for parents expecting
a second or subsequent baby.
This workshop is very powerful in demonstrating how the presence and
support
of a birth partner helps create a fulfilling birth
experience. My hope is that each couple will leave this workshop with a greater
element of
trust in themselves and the process of birth.
The Workshop costs £95 per Couple. A Non Refundable Deposit of £50
is
