GFC U8 Pumas 0 v 0 Pakefield D.
GFC started very strong and were soon pushing for goal. Wave after wave of attack and with so many chances GFC couldn't beat the keeper. With the GFC defence standing strong against Pakefield they ended the half 0-0.
In the second half GFC again pushed from the off but again couldn't find the back of the net. Pakefield made some great runs but again were denied the chance to take the lead.
A great game from everyone involved Final Score 0-0

Pakefield A 1 V 1 GFC Sharks
GFC U8 Sharks travelled away to Pakefield A and came away with a well earned point.
With a number players missing GFC found it hard to get there usual passing game going but showed great strength and determination.
Both teams were evenly matched but Pakefield took the lead in the first half. Jake then scored a stunning free kick and the teams were level at half time.
In the second half goal chances were few and far between as both teams battled it out in midfield. Final Score 1-1.

St Benets Wasps B 6 Gorleston FC U8B 2
GFC U8 Pumas travelled to St Benets Wasps B and lost 6-2.
In an entertaining game Pumas were 2-0 down before they really got going. 2 goals from Hayden brought the scores level at half time.
In the second half some fine goalkeeping kept Pumas out but St Benets managed to find the back of the net despite some great saves from Charlie.
Final Score 2-6. MOM Louis.

Sunday 3 October
Gorleston FC U8A 5 Caister Roma 0
GFC U8 Sharks made hard work of a battling Caister side. Some good football was played but we must learn that we need to train harder in order to play well for 40 mins.
Sharks were 4-0 up at half time with 2 from Ash and 1 apiece from Dylan and Mason.
In the second half Caister battled well and fought all the way to the final whistle.
Ash scored a third for his hat trick and Coby produced some great goal keeping again.
Final Score: 5-0. MOM:Ash
Gorleston U8B 0 Hemsby Hornets B 14
GFC U8 Pumas were beaten 14-0 by a very strong and well organised Hemsby B.
Pumas never really got going and failed to produce the good football from the week before. Chris and Louis both had good games and without Charlie it could have been worse. A lot more effort in training needed this week.

Gorleston FC U8A 1 Bohemians 5
GFC U8 Sharks were beaten 5-1 by a very well organised Bohemians side.
Sharks never played the football they are capable of and the attitude at training of late showed.
Alex scored our goal and the MOM was Coby fro keeping the score respectable. A big effort needed at training this week.
On the plus side Sharks know they will never be that bad again and next week we can start again.
Gorleston FC U8B 4 Caister Roma B 0
GFC U8 Pumas finally got the result that thier football deserved by beating Caister Roma B.
GFC started strong with good defending from Chris and Troy. A good pass by Louis led to Hayden's first of the game.
In the second half Jess, Alex and Callum all came on and played well. Again good passing gave Louis his first goal and Hayden two more for his hat trick. Charlie was very rarely troubled but there when needed. Final Score 4-0

Gorleston FC U8A 3 Hemsby Hornets A 0
GFC U8 Sharks continued thier fine start to the season with a 3-0 win against Hemsby A.
A slow first half saw chances at both ends without either team dominating.
In the second half GFC woke up and realised that if you shoot you can score. A goal each from Ash and Jake sealed the game and then Mason popped up with a fantastic strike for his first goal for the team. Coby was rarely troubled, Dylan ran everywhere without getting any luck and Josh slotted into the defence when needed.
Final score 3-0,

Pakefield C 3 Gorleston FC U8B 2
GFC U8 Pumas were away to Pakefield C.
First half Pakefield broke our defence and scored. Just before half time an unlucky second goal was scored.
In the second half GFC came out strong and within minutes Hayden had reduced the deficit to 2-1. Pakefield scored again but yet again GFC hit back with a great free kick by Callum. With 3 minutes left GFC had a chance to equalise but were denied by confusion from the forwards.
Final Score 2-3.

Loddon Grasshoppers A 0 Gorleston FC U8A 5
GFC U8a Sharks started their first ever league campaign away to Loddon A.
Both teams fought hard in a slow first half but GFC finally broke the dead lock with a goal from Dylan.
In the second half GFC woke up and started playing football. Jake and Alex both scored and Ash added two (1 pen). Coby was called to make a couple of great saves and Daniel, Luke, Mason and Josh all came on and played their part.
Final Score 5-0

Gorleston FC U8B 1 Loddon Grasshoppers U8B 1
GFC U8b Pumas played their first league game v Loddon B.
Both sides were evenly matched but Loddon took an early lead. The Pumas fought back and won a penalty which was missed. Some great passing between Chris, Troy and Callum gave Hayden a clear run on goal which he buried to make it 1-1 at half time.
In the second half there were chances at both ends with Charlie producing some fine saves. GFC were awarded a second penalty but again failed to convert.
Final Score 1-1.
