Hal was found as a very young chick, by the roadside in Hemel Hempstead. Because he was so young, we can only assume that he had fallen or been pushed from his nest. The kind couple who found Hal, were unable to find any signs of his mother and therefore brought him in to us.

Unfortunately, as he was growing we discovered a number of things wrong with Hal and were left with the decision to either keep him for the rest of his life or euthanase him.

When rearing baby birds, you do become incredibly attached to them and as Hal had never been wild and would not know any different, we decided to keep him.

Hal does have very poor feather quality and slow reactions and co-ordination but is otherwise a happy and healthy bird who loves playing in the garden when the weather is nice.

Hal will remain with us for the rest of his life and as a permanent resident, you can sponsor him for just £9.99 through our ebay shop.
