These 3 adorable cubs were brought in to us in May.

They were only 3 weeks old and were suffering from dehydration, malnutrition, conjunctivitis, parasite infestation and mange. Its a wonder that they were alive at all.

The cubs were given fluids throughout their first night together with antibiotics and eye ointments.

The following day, they were moved onto puppy milk and were wormed and taken to our vet for a through check up.

Our vet gave a further course of antibiotics as well as a stronger eye ointment, but expressed concern over the state that the cubs were in.

Sadly, one of the cubs did not respond to the antbiotics as well as we would have hoped and when she then went on to develop breathing difficulties, we had no choice but to make the decision to put her to sleep.

The other 2 cubs however, are going from strength to strength and will be with us until fully weaned at which time, we will find a soft release programme for them to go into.
