This beautiful little bird is a Long Tailed Tit who was found dazed and sitting in a puddle outside an office block in the freezing weather during January. Luckily for him, one of the office workers had come in late that day and noticed him as she walked by. She warmed him up and took him home, making him a nice towelling bed on a radiator, which probably saved his life. By the time the bird came in to us. He had come round quite considerably but had not eaten at all, so we gave him a choice of juicy maggots, mealworm crumble and a fat ball. Within minutes, the bird was tucking into the food and has gone on to make a complete recovery.
