DURRINGTON RANGERS V CHIPPENHAM TOWN RANGERS

What a fantastic match this was.
In the first half Jos H scored a lovely shot in the back of the net. Then it was followed by a goal from Jamie C. Just before half time Jamie C was awarded a penalty. He took the penalty and the goalie had no chance of saving it.

In the second half of the match Chippenham rangers managed to score one goal after five minutes of the second half. After that it was all Durrington's match. They played a superb match and they were unstoppable as Danny W scored another two goals and it was then followed by another goal from Danny J.
The team were a joy to watch their passing was superb and they played as a team and the parents and supporters really enjoyed it.

This now puts us joint third from the top in the league.
On January 4th we play Warminster Highbury away and the team knows this match is important so watch this space.

CODSQUAD V ROLLING STONES

They played a five side fun match and the children were the coaches.
All the adults had to wear funny hats and a prize was awarded at the end of the match for the best one on each team.
We had a pint of beer running round the pitch and I swear he had been drinking it as he did some rather dodgy passing.
There was a Morris dancer, well I think she was one, a gollywog, Santa clause and something from the north pole, I think.
It was good fun as the children enjoyed telling the parents they were pathetic.
The Codsquad got battered by the rolling stones with a score of 6-2.
I just wish more parents had joined in and given some support instead of just going home after the match.

Durrington Rangers 4 - Bradford on Avon 4

This was a closely fought match with plenty of excitement.
In the first half of the match Durrington scored first with a lovely goal from Tom M.  A few minutes later Bradford scored to take the scores level.
Then Durrington took the lead again with a cracking shot from Tom B. Again a few minutes later Bradford drew level to make the scores 2-2. So the score at half time was 2-2.
Then came the second half with even more excitement.
After ten minutes of the second half Bradford scored to take the lead 2-3. Twenty minutes into the second half Durrington was awarded a penalty. Jamie C took the penalty which nearly knocked the goalies head off and scores once again were level 3-3.
Two minutes later Bradford scored again to take the lead 3-4.
By this time all the spectators were really excited and the support Durrington got from the supporters was fantastic.
I shouted to my two players upfront you 4 minutes we need a goal.
They took me at my word. Jamie C and Tom B did some lovely passing between them and in the last minute Jamie shot a goal with a lovely shot and scored.
Every one enjoyed the match as it was well played.
The final score 4-4.
This now the 5th game in a row that Durrington have not lost. Long may it continue.

Durrington Ranger 4 - Westbury Youth 3

This was a great achievement for the under 13's.
Westbury are one of the top teams in the league and have not lost a match in 2 years.
We played them at the beginning of the season and they beat us 14 -0.
They came with the attitude they would slaughter us again. This is where they lost the match as they were too confident.
We have a have two players upfront who make a formidable force and the midfield is really working hard,
Defence try hard.

The score at the end of the match was Durrington Rangers 4 Westbury Youth FC 3.
Westbury Youth FC didn't seem happy that they lost the match and at first would not shake hands with our players.

Watch this space because we have not lost a match in the last four games now.
I would like to thank the parents who come along and support the team they are doing a great job and it means so much to the team.

Chippenham Rangers  V Durrington rangers (Away)

DISPUTED RESULT

We played Chippenham Rangers away and there is a dispute over the score.

There was no a proper referee in attendance, and the gentleman that stood in to do the referee’s job was from Chippenham Rangers FC.

As far as DRFC are concerned he didn’t keep the score correctly, and we had the won match with a score of 6 to Durrington Rangers and 5 to Chippenham. One of our players scored 4 goals and another one scored 2 goals making 6 in total.

Chippenham rangers had a score count of a draw at 5-5.

This dispute has gone to the league secretary and the match may have to be played again.
