Some of my pieces are based on full sized ceramics and others on my own designs. I produce a model for each piece, which is then used to produce a plaster mould.
Pieces are then slip cast from the mould using a white Earthenware slip.
The casts (greenware) are then hand painted using underglaze ceramic colours and fired in a kiln to 1060 degrees. This is followed by a gloss firing and in some cases a gold or silver onglaze lustre is applied.
