TRMC has an active and growing Junior Church. Our young people are regularly involved in worship throughout the year - not just at Christmas. We aim to encourage young people to be part of the life of our church family and we are blessed by their responses, the talents and gifts they share with us.
At an announced time during the main Service they will be invited to join our Junior Church (see below regarding Communion Services).
A Crèche (up to 4 years) is available every Sunday.
Trailblazers (5-10 years), Lazers (11+ years) is also available other than on Brigade Parade Services (Third Sundays)
We use Scripture Union’s SALT material which provides Bible “study” through a mix of activities drama, games, craft etc.
For Trailblazers and Lazers we have a rota of Leaders and helpers which we believe provides our young people with a mix of people’s experiences and styles and keeps them and their Leaders & helpers fresh.
We usually hold our Junior Church Anniversary in June and this year had a great time at our Saturday workshop, click here to see some pictures and find out more of our activities.
Communion Services - All who accept Christ as their Saviour are welcome to receive Communion and it is our practice to accept children at the Lord’s Table. The practice of communion and it’s meaning is a regular part of the instruction we give in our Junior Church. Obviously if you would prefer for your child not to receive Communion we will respect your wishes but you must ensure your child is aware of your feelings.
On Communion Sundays the children go straight to Junior Church at the beginning of the Service and join the congregation during the hymn before Communion “starts”.
