Soham Chronicle
1787-1899

The following was extracted from THE CAMBRIDGE CHRONICLE compiled by May Turner. My most grateful thanks to May for letting me publish parts of it.
The “Soham Chronicle” does not attempt to be a history but is a selection of everyday happenings of this small town in the years between 1878 and 1900. The stories were written by the village correspondent and published in the weekly “Cambridge Chronicle” newspaper.
The booklet is available to borrow from Ely Library and the original newspapers at The Cambridgeshire Collection, Lion Yard Library, Cambridge. Hopefully the information below will be of use to other family historians.
