Baptism/Weddings

Baptism - Adults

Occasionally we receive requests from older children and adults who have not been baptised as children. This is known as Baptism on profession of faith. Please contact the minister to discuss this. (Rev Mark Johnstone tel. 0141 776 1252 or 0845 224 1027).

Baptism - Children

Baptism is normally celebrated for parents who have a live church connection or are prepared to make a faith commitment. However, it is possible for friends or relatives who have an active church connection to take the promises of ensuring a Christian upbringing of the child on behalf of the parents. In addition, we are prepared to offer Baptism for children whose parents have no  church connection in cases of pastoral necessity. For parents who do not fulfil any of the above criteria, we would be keen to talk to anyone who believes baptism would be appropriate for them or their  child. Please contact the minister if you wish to discuss any of these issues. More details
